10th Annual Master Shim’s World Class Open Championships

I am pleased to announce Master Shim’s 10th Annual World Class Tae Kwon Do Open Championship. This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016. My staff and I have already begun preparing and organizing to ensure a pleasant and positive experience for every participant. I think it is a great representation of the attitude behind this friendly and beneficial event, as well as a reminder of the challenges of daily Tae Kwon Do training. The purpose of competition is not to simply determine a victor, but to encourage all competitors to bring out their best effort and grow as a result. Similarly, our Tae Kwon do training is not designed only to achieve a specific rank, but to continually strive to improve in body, mind, and spirit. This year we will have team forms competitions in all waves. We will also be using the KP&P electronic sparring hogus for our World Class sparring competitors. New this year, we will incorporate a World Class Poomsae event for Cadets (12-14), Juniors (15-17), and Seniors (17- 19.) I thank you for your enthusiastic support of this event. I believe we are creating something very special. Our tournament allows students of all ages and levels the chance to experience the thrill of competition in a fair, safe, and supportive environment. I promise you will have an enjoyable and rewarding competition day and I look forward to seeing you on April 30th! Sincerely, Master Jae C. Shim Tournament Chairman DOWNLOAD APPLICATION

ATU National Forum

Greetings! Since the establishment of ATU in 2007, our National Forum has been one of the core events to help the leaders of Taekwondo to be energized with new ideas and networks, which encourages to promote their schools in their own community. This year we are coming back with 10 different topics presented by the most successful Taekwondo school owners over the country. A full day seminar starting 7:00 am till 6:00 pm will definitely recharge you for the coming year. What differentiates this year’s forum from others would be a consideration for the English speaking staff that you should bring to build better teamwork. Six classes will be presented in English. All the classes will cover A to Z on how to run a successful Taekwondo school to help the daily operation of your school in its full gear. Early registration is available online along with the hotel registration. Please secure your spot, since the space is limited. Hotel is conveniently located near Washington D. C. Dulles International Airport. Once you register, you will receive an email from us. For further inquiries, please contact atunationalforum@gmail.com.
